Much attention is paid to living conditions and leisure of the people working at llyich Iron and Steel Works. The employees and their families have at their disposal "Metallurgov" Palace with a sport complex, children's creative activity center, "llyichevets" sport club, "Lukomorye" tourist club, a health resort complex on the Azov seashore including comfortable holiday hotels "Metallurg" "Smena", "Nadezhda", "Azovje", "Chaika" sanatorium-dispensary, more than 35 rest houses for the plants' workers,"Solnechny" and "Raduzhny" children's health resort centers were more than once recognized as one of the best in the region and in the country.

Guests are received In a four-star hotel "Chaika" which is situated on the coast. The Works also has a comfortable hotel "Druzhba",The employees and their families have at their disposal an acquatics sports center with boats and yachts, "Neptun" swimming pool with 50-meler length lane, an athletic heallh-improvement center, a bike center, modern complex of side-show "Exreme-Park", There are many internationally recognized athletes, champions of Europe and Olympic champions at the Works, Water polo team "llyichevets" is a repeated winner of contests in Ukraine and abroad,"llyichevets" stadium was built witn the help of llyich Iron and Steel Works, It has more than 13 thousand seats. Football matches of major league teams of the Ukrainian championship and international contests are hold there.

Reconstructed by the Works llyich Iron and Steel Works' airport "Mariupol" according to the level of its technical equipment and comfort is considered to be one of the best in Ukraine.

llyich Iron and Steel Works has 25 kindergartens with more then 4 thousand children. Amateur groups unite more than a thousand of grown-ups anc children.

Employees' health is taken care of by a medical-sanitary complex of the Works which includes a hospital and a polydinlc. A medical-prophylactic center was created on the basis of the Works' polycllnic. There exists a system of voluntary medical Insurance at the Works..

Water-supply problem was solved by using artesian wells and local springs.
