Sheet Rolling Shop 3000

The plate rolling plant 3000 includes a plate mill 3000, intended for controlled rolling of strips (pipe strips).

It also comprises four continuous walking beam furnaces, roughing and finishing reversive four-high mill stands, dressing, cutting and marking machines, and apparatus for nondestructive testing.

Plates 6,0–60 mm in thickness, 1500–2700 mm in width and up to 12000 mm in length can be manufacured at this shop (upon special requests — up to 24000 mm).

There is a plate mill 4500, nine chamber furnaces, two-high roll mill stand, plate dressing and cutting machines, and nine heat-treating furnaces in the structure of the plate rolling plant 4500.

At the plant there are potentialities to produce carbon, low-alloyed and alloyed steel sheets and plates 25–400 x 1500–3600 x 6000–12000 mm in size.
